This Net Promoter Score calculator (NPS score calculator) is for businesses measuring customer loyalty. It is not related to the National Pension System: here NPS means the share of promoters minus the share of detractors in a “How likely are you to recommend us?” survey.
How Net Promoter Score is calculated
NPS = % Promoters (score 9-10) - % Detractors (score 0-6) Passives (7-8) count in the total but not in the score.
Example: 200 responses with 120 promoters, 50 passives and 30 detractors gives 60% – 15% = an NPS of 45.
What is a good NPS score?
| Score | What it usually means |
|---|---|
| Below 0 | More detractors than promoters: needs urgent work |
| 0 to 30 | Good |
| 30 to 50 | Great |
| 50 to 70 | Excellent |
| Above 70 | World class |
Benchmarks differ by industry, so compare with your own past scores and competitors.
