NPS Login: Protean, KFintech & CAMS CRA (PRAN Login)

NPS login through Central Recordkeeping Agencies

Your NPS account is held by a Central Recordkeeping Agency (CRA): Protean (formerly NSDL e-Gov), KFin Technologies or CAMS. Since 1 October 2026 PFRDA’s new NPS Central platform also gives one login across all three. This guide shows every way to log in, check your balance and download a statement, safely.

Which CRA is my NPS account with?

Your PRAN card, welcome letter or SMS from NPS shows the CRA. If you are not sure, log in through NPS Central, which works across all CRAs, or ask your nodal office / Point of Presence.

NPS Central: one login for all CRAs

Launched by PFRDA on NPS Diwas, 1 October 2026, NPS Central is a unified platform covering Protean, KFintech and CAMS. It offers a consolidated dashboard, contribution tracking, scheme comparison, statement downloads, updates to personal, nominee and bank details, a link to the grievance portal, and digital onboarding through CKYC and DigiLocker. Existing subscribers can log in with their registered mobile number, date of birth and OTP, without the PRAN. The older CRA portals continue to work for services NPS Central does not yet handle.

How to log in with your PRAN (any CRA)

  1. Open your CRA’s website (from the table above, or via the links on pfrda.org.in or npstrust.org.in).
  2. Choose subscriber login and enter your 12-digit PRAN.
  3. Enter your password, or choose OTP login on your registered mobile / email. Many CRAs also require Aadhaar OTP for two-factor login.
  4. First time? Use “Activate PRAN / Generate IPIN” or “Forgot password” and follow the OTP steps.

What you can do after login

  • Check your NPS balance, units and NAV, and your XIRR return.
  • Download the transaction statement and contribution receipts for tax (80CCD).
  • Change investment choice (up to four times a year) and pension fund (once a year).
  • Update mobile, email, address, bank account and nominee.
  • Make contributions (through eNPS / D-Remit) and raise withdrawal or exit requests.
  • Use PRIDE-Disha to compare funds before switching. See our PRIDE-Disha guide.

What is NPS Trust?

NPS Trust is set up by PFRDA to hold NPS assets for the benefit of subscribers and to monitor pension funds, the custodian and the trustee bank. It publishes scheme NAVs and returns. You do not log in to NPS Trust for your account; you log in to your CRA or NPS Central. NPS Trust is the place to check NPS returns of each fund.

Stay safe

Never share your PRAN password, IPIN or OTP. NPSCalculator.org.in will never ask for them. Type CRA addresses yourself or use links from pfrda.org.in; fake “NPS login” pages are a common phishing trick.

Frequently asked questions

How do I check my NPS balance without login?

Most CRAs and NPS Central send an SMS or email statement; you can also give a missed call or use the mobile apps where available. For the full statement, log in.

I forgot my PRAN. What now?

Use the “Know your PRAN” option on your CRA site with your mobile, PAN or date of birth, or log in through NPS Central with mobile number and OTP.

What is Protean NPS?

Protean eGov Technologies (formerly NSDL e-Governance Infrastructure) is the oldest NPS CRA. “NPS Protean” or “Protean NPS” usually means the Protean CRA login or its eNPS service.

Can I move my NPS account from one CRA to another?

Yes, inter-CRA shifting is allowed through a request to your current CRA; your PRAN stays the same.
