NPS PRIDE-Disha Calculator: Compare Pension Fund Returns

NPS PRIDE-Disha (Pension Fund Returns for Informed Decision & Empowerment) is PFRDA’s official tool, launched in July 2026, to compare how pension funds have actually performed for regular, SIP-style investors. Below is how to use it, plus our comparator that shows what a return gap between funds does to your corpus.

What PRIDE-Disha does

  • Uses about 5,000 days of daily NAV data going back to 2008.
  • Covers around 4,800 combinations across Equity, Corporate Bonds, Government Securities, Active Choice and Auto Choice.
  • Shows XIRR: the return an investor making regular contributions really earned, instead of point-to-point returns that assume one lumpsum.
  • Simulates how much wealth different fund and allocation choices would have built.

It is hosted on the PFRDA website, and PFRDA has asked CRAs to link it from subscriber login screens and nodal office interfaces when you choose a fund. PFRDA plans to add Tier II, NPS Vatsalya and rolling returns.

How to use PRIDE-Disha with our calculator

  1. Open PRIDE-Disha on the PFRDA website and pick the asset class or choice you are considering.
  2. Note the SIP XIRR for each pension fund over a long period (10 years or more is more meaningful than 1 year).
  3. Enter the XIRR of up to three funds above, with your monthly contribution and years to retirement.
  4. See the corpus difference. A 1 to 2 point gap over 25 years is worth lakhs of rupees.

Then set the chosen return in the main NPS calculator or the NPS return calculator.

Not a forecast

PFRDA states that PRIDE-Disha shows past performance and is not a prediction or advice. Funds that topped one period often do not top the next. Asset allocation matters more than the fund manager.
